Program Description: The CAMC Cleft and Craniofacial Center is pleased to offer a 1-year fellowship in Pediatric Cleft and Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. The fellowship is designed to provide in-depth experience in all aspects of care for pediatric and adult patients with cleft and craniomaxillofacial differences.

The fellow is expected to develop broad experience in the medical and surgical management of neonates, pediatric, and adult patients with cleft and craniofacial differences and syndromes, and fully participate in the CAMC Cleft and Craniofacial Team. Additional experience in orthognathic surgery, facial plastics, maxillofacial trauma, pathology and reconstructive surgery is provided. The fellow will also participate in surgical cases within the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Pediatric and Adult Otolaryngology. Research opportunities are available and the fellow is encouraged to develop a research project leading to a peer-reviewed publication. Fellows will further develop leadership skills through their participation in the cleft and craniofacial team and educating rotating military residents.

The CAMC Cleft and Craniomaxillofacial fellowship is designed to prepare highly-skilled individuals for positions within a group practice or full-time academic career. Our graduates have routinely accepted positions at major academic medical centers as well as exceptional surgical practices.

Fellows receive a fully supported post-graduate trainee stipend that is commensurate with their level of experience. Medical, dental and additional benefits are provided though Charleston Area Medical Center.
